The Flamework Jewellery vases were created during the Flamework Jewellery Design Club, under the guidance of glass designer Lorena Rode. Participants (aged 15–20) melted, twisted, and bent glass rods using a blowtorch. The glass ornaments can be worn as charms on a necklace or earring. The vases were exhibited during the first edition of the Design Biennale Rotterdam.
The jewelry was created by Design Club participants Chinouk Martodihardjo, Fay Kleimeer, Foudia Camara, Keandra Agard, and Tijl Heere.
Objects created in the Design Club are unique and handmade. Participants receive a 20% royalty on their designs. The remaining proceeds flow back into the project, allowing us to organize a new Design Club every month.
